Blackburn Rovers manager respond to fans after Southampton call

Blackburn Rovers player Jake Garrett’s career may be affected by Bristol Rovers’ decision to fire manager Matt Taylor.

The Rovers have the right to recall the 20-year-old in January, although he joined the Gas on a season-long loan in the summer. The loan move has not been successful under Taylor.

Garrett started three straight games in August and September, which was a great start to his League One career. However, after losing favour, he was only used in a third-tier lineup on September 14.

The midfielder has been switched from an unused substitute to a player who is unable to make the matchday squad, and he hasn’t played a single league minute since October.

Therefore, it seems inevitable that Rovers would bring him back with the intention of either loaning him out again or reintegrating him into the squad.

However, with Bristol Rovers currently in 20th place in the league, Taylor was fired. The decision is not surprising because the manager has been under increasing pressure.

Garrett might get the minutes he needs from a new manager to appease Rovers and the player. John Eustace acknowledged that, like Connor O’Riordan’s tenure at Cambridge United, which has taken a similar turn, the issue will be evaluated in the New Year.
