Sheffield Wednesday have sealed a deal to sign Stuart Armstrong from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, according to BBC Sheffield.
After winning promotion from the Championship with his previous team, Southampton, Armstrong is no stranger to the English football landscape.
He was sold to the MLS team last summer after battling injury concerns, and he has since made eleven appearances for them.
He is scheduled to return to England once more, but with new colors this time.
In the current transfer window, Sheffield Wednesday has struck a deal to sign him and bring him back together with Danny Rohl.
\In 2018–19, the two collaborated at Southampton, where Rohl served as assistant manager.
The relocation “is a done deal,” according to the claim.
Rohl hopes that Sheffield Wednesday’s promotion campaign will benefit from Armstrong’s expertise.
Before signing a contract with the Owls, the player will now go to Hillsborough for his physical.
It is unclear how long he will agree to the pact.
