A MAN has died after his car was involved in two crashes in quick succession.
Police were first called at around 5.43pm on Wednesday, February 5, to a collision at the junction of Chester Road and Dalefords Lane in Sandiway. The crash involved a grey Hyundai i10 and a black BMW, which is believed to have failed to stop and continued along Dalefords Lane towards Winsford. Just two minutes later, at 5.45pm, police were informed of a second collision involving the black BMW in Dalefords Lane, near the Daleford Manor Caravan Park.
When cops arrived, they found that a Renault Master panel van had also been involved in the collision.
The 45-year-old Winsford man who was driving the BMW was pronounced deceased at the scene. Specialised officials have been notified and are assisting his next of kin.
The injuries sustained by the two drivers of the Hyundai and the Renault were not thought to be life-threatening.
As part of their investigation into the crashes, police have called on anyone with dashcam footage or witnesses to come forward.
“Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing, and officers are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the collisions or anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage of the incidents,” a Cheshire Police spokesman stated.
