Coventry City Manager is Devastated by the Club Injury Update….

After speaking to the team’s website last night, Coventry City manager Mark Robins has stated that a third member of the Sky Blues has experienced a setback due to a mid-range injury.

The Jamaican international Kasey Palmer, who recently tore a muscle, will be out for six to eight weeks, just as Ben Sheaf and Milan Van Ewijk before him.

The Sky Blues currently have five players out of action due to injury. Long-term casualties Fabio Tavares and Callum O’Hare are close to returning to the first-team setup but aren’t expected to return before the international break. Meanwhile, Van Ewijk, Sheaf and Palmer have all suffered muscular tears and are out for the next six to eight weeks, placing further pressure on Mark Robins’ side to get a result.

A frustrating start Coventry City conceded a 95th-minute equaliser against Huddersfield Town to slip to their fifth draw in the Championship this season. Worryingly, the Sky Blues have won just once in all competitions this season and currently sit 18th in the division. Mark Robins’ side is next in action on Saturday as they travel to Queens Park Rangers hoping for their first away win of the season. What’s been said? Speaking to the club website after Monday’s draw with Huddersfield, manager Mark Robins stated…

“Kasey is injured and going to be out for six-eight weeks. He’s got an adductor tear and I don’t know when he did it. It’s the same injury as Ben Sheaf. He’s done it in a game but I don’t know when. Ben did his in training. Milan did his in a game.” Writer’s View With Mark Robins’ side having three key players injured as well as the long-term absences of Callum O’Hare and Fabio Tavares, it is very much a backs-to-the-wall few weeks for the Championship side. Coventry have won just once this season in all competitions and their new squad still has plenty of work to do if it is going to replicate the form in which they had last season.
