White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a White House Press Briefing that the Philadelphia Eagles will visit the White House on April 28 to celebrate the team’s Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Leavitt told reporters, “I am aware that there was a lot of false information regarding an invitation that was sent or wasn’t sent.” “We would want to update the record: An invitation was sent. They gladly agreed, and on April 28 you will see them here.

Following Philadelphia’s second Lombardi Trophy victory, there was a lot of clamour and false reports that the Eagles would decline President Donald Trump’s invitation and boycott the visit.
Both liberals and many progressive social media accounts were excited by the rumour.
“We would be honoured to visit the White House,” an Eagles source told CNN last month. “It’s one of the things we had looked forward to doing and we look forward to receiving the invitation.” The Eagles did not visit the White House in 2018 after defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, as President Trump declined to invite the team after several players silently protested and advocated for social justice causes. In reality, however, the team and the White House had not finalised a date or the specifics of a visit, which are now official.
