Eddie Howe’s team is now dealing with a bit of an injury crisis at Newcastle as several players are out, but there is good news regarding Alexander Isak.
The striker pulled out of the Sweden squad for this international break due to a groyne issue, and he was substituted out of the match against West Ham in a 2-2 tie due to a suspected injury.
It’s uncertain who will be ready for Newcastle’s match against Crystal Palace following the international break, but they will be hoping that Isak will be available.
Newcastle is upbeat about Isak.
It has been reported by Newcastle World that Isak’s injury might not be serious and that the striker, who earns £120,000 a week, might be fit to play against Palace.
Isak’s groyne injury was assessed by Swedish medical personnel prior to his withdrawal from the team; however, it now seems to be a minor one, and he should be available right away.

After joining from Real Sociedad last season, the forward had a great debut season in England, and he has already scored six goals in seven league games this season.
Howe has Callum Wilson at his disposal, but Isak is one of Newcastle’s top players and a game-changer in front of goal. The team may have suffered greatly from losing him for a lengthy period of time, so the club will be happy that he won’t be missing.
Newcastle’s attacking depth is already being put to the test by Harvey Barnes’ injury, and Howe would have been devastated to lose such a vital starter.
