Here is the current injury list for Newcastle United, which has suffered a new injury blow this week with Harvey Barne”months’-long absence.
In the early going of Newcastle’s 8-0 victory against Sheffield United on Sunday, the club’s new £38 million summer acquisition who had only made two competitive starts since joining from Leicester City, sustained a foot injury.
Prior to Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup match against Manchester City (8 p.m. kickoff), Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe also stated that a handful of his players had fitness issues, but he did not identify them.
Despite playing despite a knee problem in recent weeks, Alexander Isak is still chosen.

According to the findings of a Monday scan, Harvey Barnes could spend months on the sidelines due to a foot ailment. The 25-year-old may need surgery, and the team is awaiting more advice from a professional.
Return date anticipated: TBC (November 2023–January 2024).
Ineffective Joe Willock (Achilles)
After suffering an Achilles injury, Joe Willock hasn’t played for Newcastle since May and will be sidelined for at least the next four games.
He will be trying to return to the Champions League in time for the November trip to Borussia Dortmund.
Last season, Willock originally sustained a hamstring ailment before encountering a setback with a new Achilles issue.

Inactive Emil Krafth (ACL)
As he continues to rehabilitate from a significant knee injury, Emil Krafth, who hasn’t played competitive football for Newcastle in more than a year, was left off the Champions League roster.
He has rejoined the team for training, but it will take him some time to go back to full strength and be available for selection in a challenging match.
