Crucial dates for the Seattle Mariners’ offseason

OCTOBER

• Oct. 18 – Rawlings Gold Gloves Finalists announced

October 19: Baseball Hall of Fame candidates for managers, umpires, and executives on the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee; October 30: The 2023 Roberto Clemente Award recipient is revealed before of the World Series Game 3.

 

November;

The Silver Slugger finalists were revealed on November 2.
• November 4: This day is set aside for a possible Game 7 World Series.

• Eligible players become free agents on the first day following the World Series. The first day on which teams can swap athletes.
• The final day for previous clubs to present qualifying offers to qualified players is the fifth day following the World Series, during which free agents can negotiate and sign with any team starting at 2:00 p.m.
The Rawlings Gold Gloves winners will be revealed on ESPN on November 5 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
• November 5: “Fall Stars” game of the Arizona Fall League

• Live announcement of the BBWAA Awards finalists on MLB Network on November 6 from 3-5 p.m.
• General Managers Meetings in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nov. 7-9.
• Silver Slugger Awards revealed from 3–4 p.m. on MLB Network on November 9.

• Nov. 13-16: Live BBWAA Awards announcement on MLB Network from 3-4 p.m.; • Nov. 11: Arizona Fall League concludes with the title game.
• The Jackie Robinson Rookies of the Year are announced on November 13.
• Managers of the Year are announced on November 14.
• November 14: Eligible players have to choose whether to accept the qualifying offer from their previous team.

reserve lists are due by 1:00 p.m. • Nov. 15: Cy Young Awards announced
• MVP Awards revealed on November 16

• The MLB Players Alumni Association’s Heart & Hustle Award will be revealed on MLB Network on November 17.
• Nov. 17: Deadline for tenders
• The Baseball Hall of Fame releases the BBWAA ballot on November 20.

December;

• Nashville’s Winter Meetings, December 4–7
• December 5: Winter Meetings MLB Draught Lottery

• December 6: Draught of Rule 5 from the Winter Meetings
