The family of Leeds United hero Jack, the brother of former England record goalscorer Sir Bobby Charlton, has confirmed his death at the age of 86.
The former Manchester United star passed away on Saturday afternoon at the age of 86, according to a statement made public by the hero of England’s family.

“We share the news that Sir Bobby passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning,” the family said in a statement. His relatives surrounded him.
“His family would want to express their gratitude to all of the individuals who have supported and loved him, as well as to everyone who has helped with his care. At this point, we would ask that the family’s privacy be maintained.
Though he was diagnosed with dementia in 2020, Charlton remains considered one of the greatest players in world football history. In addition to being a key player in England’s 1966 victory, he amassed an incredible 249 goals in 758 games for United, ranking him second on the team’s all-time goal scoring and appearance record.
