Police Scotland have confirmed that an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old at Dens Park during the Dundee vs Rangers clash has been launched
In response to the reported sexual assault that occurred at the Dundee vs. Rangers game on November 1, police have opened an inquiry.
The incident that was reported happened in the Bob Shankly stand, which is where the away fans were seated, according to Dundee Football Club. The game was clouded with controversy when the Gers fired off fireworks, which caused referee Kevin Clancy to halt play for eighteen minutes while smoke billowed from the field.
It has now been confirmed by Police Scotland that investigations into the alleged attack on the adolescent girl are underway.

“We are carrying out enquiries following an allegation of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl which happened at Dens Park in Dundee on Wednesday, 1 November 2023,” a Police Scotland spokeswoman stated.
The domestic side reaffirmed their complete support for the inquiry.
“Dundee Football Club can confirm we are aware of an incident which took place in the Bob Shankly stand during Wednesday’s match against Rangers,” a representative for the club stated.
“The club’s Child Welfare and Protection Officer is assisting the issue, and the club completely supports the police inquiry. Since the police investigation is still underway, the club will not be providing any other comments.
