Memphis’ injury report vs. Heat is just painful to see

When the Memphis Grizzlies play the Miami Heat on Wednesday, they will be missing eight players, possibly nine.

The Memphis Grizzlies were unable to find any success. There’s optimism that they can use their season-opening victory to string together more victories after they had a 0–6 start. But it will be difficult for them to even win against the Miami Heat given their thin roster.

The Grizzlies released their injury report for the game ahead of their Wednesday matchup against the Heat. It’s just, for want of a better word, awful and excruciating for the team.

There are eight confirmed players out for the game, and one is doubtful, so there’s a good chance he will be out as well.

The Grizzlies will need Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart to step up once again amid their slew of absences. However, it surely won’t be easy against a Heat team brimming with confidence after recently taking down the Los Angeles Lakers.

Ja Morant, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke are still sidelined because of their various problems. As everyone is aware, Clarke is still recovering from the injury he suffered to his left Achilles tendon during the previous season, and Morant is serving his 25-game suspension. Regarding Adams, his surgery-related right knee injury has kept him out of the game for the remainder of the season.

Due to his knee injury, Derrick Rose, who has missed the Grizzlies’ last three games, is still out. Due to knee pain, Xavier Tillman has also been ruled out. In the interim, GG Jackson II and Vince WIlliams Jr. are on a two-way transfer, while Jake LaRavia has been sent to the Memphis Hustle for G League assignment.

John Konchar is doubtful, but it won’t be surprising if he’s out as well considering the nature of his hip injury.
