Memphis signs Class of 2024 4-star guard

WMC – Memphis, Tennessee Head coach Penny Hardaway announced that Jared Harris, a four-star guard from Silsbee, Texas in the class of 2024, has signed a contract with the Memphis Tigers.

Harris, a guard from Silsbee, Texas, who stands 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 175 pounds, decided to attend Memphis instead of Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M.

According to the On3 consensus rating, Harris is the 86th overall talent in the Class of 2024.

Leading Silsbee High School to the Class 4A state semifinals, Harris averaged 18.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.0 steals in his sophomore year of 2021–2022.

Harris averaged 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2 steals in 37 games in his junior year. He was a Beaumont Enterprise First-Team Super Gold selection and was named the Co-MVP of District 19-4A.

Jared is a welcome addition to the Memphis Tiger Family. He is a multifaceted guard who complements our style of play and adds a variety of skills to our program. In addition to being a fantastic person and student, he possesses excellent positional size.
