Former Ipswich Town attacker Joe Pigott has re-joined AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan from League One club Leyton Orient.
The 30-year-old scored 54 goals in 157 appearances during his first spell with the Dons, before moving to Ipswich in the summer of 2021.
Pigott never really established himself at Portman Road, scoring three goals in 29 games, while spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Portsmouth.
Last summer, he departed the Blues by mutual consent and went on to join Leyton Orient. However, he scored just four goals in 42 games in all competitions in 2023/24.
He now joins Johnnie Jackson’s side, who finished tenth in League Two last season.
On returning to Plough Lane, Pigott said: “To come back is amazing but I have so much more to give and achieve with this club.
“Wimbledon means a lot to me and my family, so it’s hard not to be emotional when I talk about the support that the fans have always shown me.
“At the forefront of my mind is the excitement I have for the opportunity play at a packed Plough Lane. I missed out on that because of covid, so to finally experience it will be incredible.”
