Dons fans warned to be on best behaviour in sold out away end’

More than 800 MK Dons fans will be at the game against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday

When MK Dons play AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, a sold-out away end at Plough Lane will cheer them on, but their club has cautioned them not to inflict any needless damage.

For the first time since April 2022, fans will be travelling to south London for the match as all 850 tickets have been sold.

However, much as with the rematch last month, MK Dons have issued a statement asking supporters at Plough Lane to refrain from endangering the AFC Wimbledon stadium, which would be costly for the club.
A statement said: “The club is urging all supporters who are travelling to London this weekend to show their support in the proper manner ahead of MK Dons’ game against AFC Wimbledon.

“Although we are aware that this match may elicit intense feelings, MK Dons supporters ought to show their support for Mike Williamson’s team in a constructive way.

“None of the clubs wants to witness unfavourable actions that endanger the stadium.
The clubs bear the financial burden of such destruction, leaving less money for the things that truly count.

“MK Dons have a very clear message: support the team in a way that best symbolises the club.

“We look forward to seeing our travelling supporters backing the Dons every step of the way, alongside all those sharing their support in Milton Keynes and elsewhere.”
