‘Heartbreaking’ as Afc Wimbledon Players refuses with fans at club..

Its quite unfortunate that some players refused to interact or even pose for pictures with fans not even to talk of their autographs.

After watching Johnnie Jackson put the squad through their paces, young Wimbledon supporters posed for pictures with the players and got their autographs – making the most of a day during the Easter holidays.

“It’s better to interact with the players and other fans than to play video games at home,” stated Lee Brown. The Club should be quite proud of itself for organising activities such as these, since when kids return to school, their friends will be chatting to each other about coming here to meet the players.

It is the least that we as players can do to return the favour. The children’s response to meeting all of us was touching, and these activities serve to foster a sense of community involvement and AFC Wimbledon membership, which is essential to the future of our club.

Even with the heavens opening this morning, spirits remained high despite the rain, especially since Haydon the Womble, our beloved, was present!

“I know how much it means because it meant a lot to me as a child growing up at West Brom to attend an event like this,” Ryan continued.

“Those who attend these events get a glimpse of what we do on a daily basis, and it’s beneficial for the Club if it inspires them to attend future games!

It was wonderful to talk with our supporters today since we know that as the season draws to a close, we’ll need their support more than ever to attempt to finish strong. It’s all about our supporters, as you could see from their excitement to be here.”
