Reasons why i Undergo short-term deal with Millwall Keeper-“AFC Wimbledon boss”

The short-term signing of Ryan Sandford, a former Millwall keeper, by AFC Wimbledon has been revealed by Johnnie Jackson.

The 24-year-old has been training with the Dons since July. He was benched for Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Bradford at home.

With backup Nik Tzanev away on international duty with New Zealand, Wimbledon confirmed on Friday that the former loanee from Maidstone had signed a month-long contract.

Sandford was cut by Millwall at the conclusion of the previous campaign.

Jackson stated, “He’s done enough for us to feel confident enough to offer him that short-term deal.”

“With Nik leaving, we found ourselves short-staffed. We failed to get the game postponed.

You can take a chance and choose not to put a keeper on the bench, but according to Sod’s law, as soon as you do, things go wrong.

“We hid behind ourselves. He’s been fantastic in training with us, and we’re happy to have him on a temporary basis.i
