Aston Villa star suffers injury setback.

Dr Rajpal Brar claims that Ollie Watkins, an attacking player for Aston Villa, is susceptible to reinjury following his hamstring setback.

According to the injury expert, he will be closely watched in the background to prevent any relapse.

The England striker has overcome his absence from the Manchester City match earlier in April to lead Unai Emery’s team in the attacking position.

Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, discussed this scenario with Villa News.

Hard to say if he’s 100% because no player is 100% this late in the season but the fact he was able to play roughly a week later and play well is a very good sign.

The physios and coaches will be continuing to monitor him in training to make sure there aren’t signs of injury relapse.

There does remain a small risk of re-injury but he’s now got in multiple games and does not appear to be showing any frailties.

Ollie Watkins has been a game changer for Aston Villa

In the 2020–21 season, Watkins relocated to Villa Park and rapidly established himself as a vital member of the squad.

He has proven to be a goal scorer and creator of opportunities, which has greatly aided Aston Villa’s offensive efforts.

His efforts have been vital to Aston Villa’s hopes of qualifying for the Champions League and placing in the top four.

The 28-year-old has scored four goals in his last three games across all competitions, demonstrating his scorching form.

In other Aston Villa news, Tyrone Mings’s situation has been updated in footage that has surfaced, prompting a doctor to respond with a “unfortunate” statement.
