Sevilla are now willing to sell Aston Villa target Marcos Acuña for less than what the Villans offered to pay for him in the summer.

That’s according to Vamos Mi Sevilla, who say the Spanish side intend to get rid of the full-back and accept a lower proposal.

According to the website, Sevilla wants to offload a number of players in January’s transfer window in order to reduce their salary expenditures to compensate for their lack of revenue from European competitions.

Acuña is a high earner in the team, and Sevilla “would be willing” to sell him now for €9 million, despite accusations that he was being lazy by not moving in the summer when Aston Villa tried to sign him.

Although it is €1 million less than what Monchi and his group offered for the Argentine in the summer, the Nervión club’s management would “well receive” that amount this time around.
They feel that, with a year and a half remaining on his contract, the 32-year-old full-back is the ideal candidate to be let go, especially since Adrià Pedrosa has taken his place in the starting lineup.

The club is also upset about his “outbursts” and his string of injuries, which all seem to go away when he plays for the national team.
