The report states that Emery has personally scoped out the 21-year-old as a key target to help fill the left-sided forward role in his side and is eager for a deal to materialise.
However, there might be a significant roadblock to the transfer involving Monchi, the president of football operations for the Villans. It is thought that Real Betis and the 55-year-old have strained relations because of an incident in 2022 when he went onto the pitch to celebrate defeating Sevilla in a derby match.
