Huge boost for Aston Villa as injury update emerges for long-term absentee

Tyrone Mings, a central defender for Aston Villa, has finally resumed full training after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament five months ago.

After undergoing knee surgery in August, the 30-year-old has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation, which has included a trip to the US to consult doctors. Even if Mings is still anticipated to be absent for some time, his return to Bodymoor Heath can only be positive.
On Thursday afternoon, Villa shared a photo of the 18-time England international at the club’s gym, appearing focused and grinning. The picture just says “You’re welcome” as a caption.

For Mings, it’s all up from here, and while a return date hasn’t been announced, it’s hoped he can be ready as soon as possible.
