Aston villa fight off interest from arsenal for their key man

Aston Villa is prepared to fend off interest in Douglas Luiz once again as the Brazilian reaches top form on their roster.

The midfielder attracted serious interest from Arsenal at the start of last season, with the Gunners submitting at least two bids on deadline day. However, all offers were rejected.

He ultimately decided to extend his Villa contract, and he is now a vital member of their midfield.

Luiz’s outstanding performances are one of the main things driving Villa’s push for a top-four finish. The club is even more attached to him than they were to Declan Rice at Arsenal and Moises Caicedo at Chelsea.

Most importantly, the Villans won’t even consider talking him out of the team. According to a Daily Mail report, they are prepared to reject any interest in the Brazilian celebrity.

Unai Emery won’t consent to a sale because, in January especially, he sees him as his team’s engine room.

Although Luiz is one of the best midfielders in the league, Villa has every reason to keep him in their lineup despite the fact that he would be a perfect replacement for Thomas Partey given his stellar play this season.

It would be more challenging for us to add him to our group if they place among the top four because they will need their best players for the Champions League the following season.
