All 29 Aston Villa players have received ratings from Birmingham World for the 2023–24 season, with several receiving contentious 4–10s and one receiving a stunning 9–10.
Aston Villa has had a successful start to the 2023–24 season, locking down a top-six berth in the Premier League after eight games, and monitoring the teams in Group E of the UEFA Europa Conference League. Despite having already been eliminated from the Carabao Cup, Unai Emery’s team has performed admirably.
During the summer transfer window, five acquisitions totaling £80.5 million were made. The signings included Moussa Diaby, Pau Torres, Nicolo Zaniolo, Youri Tielemans, and Clement Lenglet, some of whom have done better than others. The rest of the team is also affected by the busy schedule of games, which pushes players to their physical and mental limits.
Following the media and public reflection on the beginning of the season during the October international break, we sat down and assigned a 10-point scale to each player.
