The newspaper reported on its website on Thursday (25 January) that Chelsea are also interested in the 20-year-old striker.
The Daily Mail added that Villa may consider selling the player if they manage to sign Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers.
“Villa have already rebuffed an enquiry from West Ham for Duran this month as they want to ensure they have forward cover,” according to a report in the Daily Mail.
“Villa are expected to continue talks with Middlesbrough for Morgan Rogers and, if successful, may then consider approaches for Duran.”
The January transfer market deadline is quickly approaching, and it appears that Aston Villa will be quite busy before everything shuts down.
It makes reasonable that Emery would want to bring in one attacker before releasing another. His recruitment to the club is unquestionable, as is his general decision-making, with the manager doing an excellent job at Villa Park.
