Oscar Gloukh, the RB Salzburg sensation, is being tracked by Aston Villa ahead of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
The 19-year-old is regarded as a top young player and one of Europe’s best talents.
Gloukh has Champions League experience, and clubs around Europe are keeping an eye on him in anticipation of a possible swoop in the near future.
According to a reliable source, Villa sees the Israel international as a player with “top potential.”
If they can pry him away from Salzburg in the middle of the season, the Midlands giants believe the teenager will be a good match for Unai Emery’s ambition.
Gloukh joined the Austrian giants earlier this year and has a deal with them until June 2027.
He has already played 41 games for Salzburg, scoring eight goals and assisting seven times, including two in the Champions League.
The two-footed 19-year-old is primarily an offensive midfielder, although he can also play as a deeper midfielder and as a winger.
Since making his senior international debut in November 2022, he has already earned 12 caps for Israel, scoring three goals.
Aston Villa have had a strong start to the 2023-24 season, sitting third in the Premier League after 16 games.
Emery’s team is only two points behind league leaders Liverpool ahead of their next match on Sunday (17 December) against Brentford.
The Midlands giants have also qualified for the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League.
