The Villians are still in negotiations to sign attacker Morgan Rogers, who is having a fantastic season on his own. He most recently scored against Chelsea in the FA Cup.
Rogers, 21, was outstanding even though Boro lost the replayed tie 6-1 (6-2 on agg).
Unai Emery is reportedly making a lot of effort to acquire the gifted 21-year-old, and Michael Carrick’s team may lose him as a result of his naturally captivating performances.
The Halesowen native’s third and better offer has already been turned down by Boro, who had also turned down the first two.
Villa will probably need to offer above and beyond for its Championship opponents to approve, even though Boro’s exact asking price is yet unknown.
With three and a half years remaining on his deal, Rogers has played in 33 games across all competitions since the beginning of the season, tallying seven goals and dishing out nine assists.
