Following the collision on Thursday, April 18, just before 10.25 a.m., on the B713 Dalmellington Road, Police Scotland is now requesting more information.
A white Volkswagen Caddy van and a white Renault Box van were involved in the incident.
The collision resulted in injuries to two persons.
The 62-year-old man sustained significant injuries and was transported by EMS to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The 43-year-old driver of the second van was transported to University Hospital Ayr, which is close, with minor injuries.
“Our investigations into this collision are ongoing,” stated Sergeant Gordon Stewart, “and we would like to ask anyone who was in the area at the time and has not already spoken to us to please get in touch.”
“We would also be keen to see any dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area around the time of the crash.”
