Police coles road Woman dies in Ayr three car crash

The 72 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday evening

In an accident close to Galston, Ayrshire, a 72-year-old woman lost her life.

On August 10, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a white Vauxhall Corsa, a blue Volkswagen Golf convertible, and a green Land Rover Discovery were engaged in an accident on the A71.
The woman, the Golf’s driver, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency authorities.

After being transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, the 37-year-old male Corsa driver’s condition was listed as critical but stable.Around 1.30 am on Sunday, the road was reopened after being closed and no other injuries were reported.

Sergeant Andrew Coutts stated: “We are keeping our eyes on the family of the deceased woman and are conducting enquiries to determine

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch.

“Likewise, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then make contact with officers.”
