A PERSON has been injured following a “altercation” on a bus travelling through Ardrossan. Stagecoach West Scotland have confirmed the incident which took place on board their 585 service at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, July 17. Emergency crews rushed to the scene around the time of the incident, with a number of police vehicles and an ambulance crew spotted around the south beach area. Images showed at least four police vehicles and a number of officers around a bus which had stopped on South Crescent Road.
Regarding the injured party and the nature of the altercation, no additional information has been released.
“We can confirm there was an incident on board our 585 service in Ardrossan at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday, July 17,” a Stagecoach West Scotland representative stated.
An altercation resulted in injuries to a patron. Ambulance and police services were called to the scene.
“We’re working with Police Scotland to establish further details of the incident.”
