Following the hunt for Kevin Finnie, an Ayr man who went missing, a body was discovered in Prestwick.
On July 24, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Mr. Finnie was last observed in the Ayr neighbourhood of Kings Park.
It has now been confirmed by the police that on Thursday, July 25, at approximately 9.50 a.m., a man’s body was discovered inside a house in the Prestwick neighbourhood on Midton Road.
Although formal identification is still pending, the family of Mr. Finnie, 55, who was reported missing from Ayr, has been notified.
A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal, but no suspicious circumstances are thought to exist.
