The Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit’s Sergeant Calum Macaulay stated: “An investigation into the complete circumstances of the crash is still underway. Our condolences go out to the motorcyclist’s family and friends on his tragic death.

“I would ask anyone who may have seen the collision, helped at the scene, or may have dash-cam footage to get in touch with us right away if they haven’t already spoken to the police or given them this information.”

On Wednesday, August 14, at around 4.20 a.m., the road reopened. I would like to express my gratitude to the public for bearing with us while we looked into this very serious crash.

“Call Police Scotland at 101 and mention incident number 3450 of Tuesday, August 13, 2024 if you have any information.”
