In a car accident in South Ayrshire, a 37-year-old man lost his life.
At around 19:30 on wednesday, he was driving a green Land Rover Defender close to the B734 on the Girvan to Dailly Road.
He was declared dead at the scene despite the presence of emergency services.
To investigate the accident, police blocked off the road for twelve hours. Police are urging anyone with knowledge to come forward.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time,” stated Sergeant Brian Simpson.We’re still investigating, so I’m urging anyone who saw the collision and hasn’t already spoken to the police to get in contact.
