Emergency crews raced to the scene after a Land Rover Defender crashed on the B7035.
A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Ayrshire.
Cops were alerted to to the incident, involving a green Land Rover Defender on the B7035, Girvan to Dailly Road, around 1;30pm on Friday August 9.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene but the 37-year-old male driver was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was shut for almost 3 hours to allow investigations to be carried out and re-opened around this morning evening, Friday, August, 9 2024.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around that time and who may have dash cam footage or who may have seen the car prior to the crash to contact us.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3483 of 9 August 2024.”
