Sad news for Ravens as bad injuries hit QB missing in practice:

The Baltimore Ravens held their second training session of the week ahead of their Week 15 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road.

After having perfect participation on Wednesday, one player was missing on Thursday’s practice: backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, due to personal reasons. It might have been the right move to sign former Patriots QB/WR hybrid for this season, after all…

Tyler Huntley, Lamar Jackson’s primary backup, was absent from Thursday’s practice due to personal reasons, as reported in the injury report, but no more information about this situation and availability for Sunday has been shared nor leaked.

This marks Huntley’s first missed practice of the season, highlighting the potential significance of Cunningham’s acquisition, which was made official by the Ravens last Wednesday.

Harbaugh confirmed two days ago that the plan is for Cunningham to practice with the quarterback unit and to stay in the roster for the remainder of the season as the fourth-string quarterback, although it’s reasonable to expect a move up the ladder if Huntley misses Sunday’s outing.

Ravens injuries: Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and Malik Harrison on track to play

In other, more positive news, safety Kyle Hamilton continued to make gradual progress in his recovery from the knee injury he suffered last Sunday in the game against the Rams.

Hamilton remained a limited participant for the second day in a row, but he’s been quoted saying he is “getting better day by day.” He once more sported a brace on his injured left knee, but it’s definitely a good sign to see him on the field so quickly after what was initially feared to have been a season-ending injury.

Linebacker Roquan Smith participated fully in Thursday’s practice, which is an improvement from Wednesday when he was limited due to a back injury. He should be more than ready to go on Sunday night.
