Mother and son taken to hospital after serious crash near Bedworth

Following a two-vehicle collision close to Bedworth’s Tesco store, a mother and her infant had to be sent to the hospital. At 11:14 a.m. this morning (February 5), the West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) reported that it had reacted to 999 calls placed to George Street Ringway.

It happened when two cars collided. There were two ambulances dispatched to the scene.

To shut off the road, police were also called. Three patients were discovered by the time the medics arrived: a man, a woman, and a baby.

Despite being evaluated on the spot, the man did not require hospital treatment. “We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on George Street Ringway at 11.14am, and two ambulances attended the scene,” a WMAS representative clarified. Three patients were found when we arrived.

“A infant was evaluated and a woman who had injuries that were not thought to be significant received treatment. Both of them were brought to the University Hospital in Warwickshire and Coventry.

“A man was assessed and discharged at the scene.”
