A biker was left seriously hurt in a crash with car which closed a main road between Bedworth and Bulkington for hours. Warwickshire Police officers were forced to close off part of Bedworth Road yesterday afternoon.
It followed 999 calls to report a collision between a car and a motorbike. The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford was called to the scene and West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) sent three ambulances and a paramedic officer.
Medics found the biker, who has not been identified, had suffered serious injuries. The driver of the car, a woman, also had potentially serious injuries, a WMAS spokesperson confirmed.
“We were called at around 1.30pm to reports of an RTC on Bedworth Road near Bulkington, Bedworth and sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene,” the WMAS spokesperson said. “On arrival, crews discovered a motorbike and a car had been involved in a collision.
