A737 crash: Man dies in accident in Beith

A man who died after being struck by a car in North Ayrshire has been named by police.

On June 224, at around 10.45 p.m., a black Land Rover Discovery Sport and a pedestrian were engaged in an accident on the A737 south of Beith.

Derek Logan, 46, of the North Ayrshire region, was identified by police as the pedestrian who was declared deceased at the scene.


“Our thoughts remain with Mr. Logan’s family and friends at this difficult time, and they have asked for privacy,” stated road policing sergeant Brian Simpson.

“Anyone who can help, especially if you have dash-cam footage, is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 and quoting incident number 3948 of Wednesday, the twentieth of June 2024. We are continuing our appeal for information.”
