Car passenger killed in crash with lorry

In a collision in Moray involving a truck, a 56-year-old man perished.

On the A941 at Craigellachie, he was riding in the backseat of a Vauxhall Crossland. At the scene, he was declared deceased.

Following the collision at around 16:25 on Tuesday, the driver and two additional passengers were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The driver of the truck was unharmed.

Police Scotland requested information and stated that investigations were ongoing to determine the complete circumstances.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died and everyone involved in this incident,” stated Road Policing Sergeant Iain Nicolson.

“I would urge anyone with knowledge to come forward.

“I would especially like to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam evidence.
