A 50-year-old man was attacked while on the corner of Street in Beith in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted by three hooded men in Beith .
The 50-year-old victim was at the corner of Street at the junction of West Shaw Street around 12.50am on Sunday, April 7 when he was attacked.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as three males who all had their hoods up.
One is described as wearing a white hooded jumper while the other wore a purple hooded jumper. They left in the direction of Street and Finnart Street.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
Detective Constable Jennifer Kane said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information to contact us.
“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash cam footage or any private CCTV which could assist to get in touch.”
