Man charged with murder of pregnant woman in Beith

The district court in Glostrup, Denmark, declared that a man who fatally stabbed a significantly pregnant lady in 2023 received a life sentence and a mandatory preventive detention period afterward.

According to the court statement, the 30-year-old male is accused of stabbing the woman eleven times with a knife in a park close to Beith before chopping off a portion of her nose.

The defendant denied committing the crime, and his defence attorney declared that he will file an appeal with the court.

The murder weapon has still not been located, and the man’s guilt cannot be established by technical evidence like DNA or fingerprints.

The suspect’s cellmate in 2024 was an undercover police agent who was assigned to the suspect’s a prison sentence for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend.

The undercover investigator recorded the man describing how he had killed the pregnant woman, which contributed to the court’s decision to find him guilty.
