Murder probe after Beith death

Ayrshire police have opened a murder inquiry in response to a man who passed away over the weekend.

Around 6.45 p.m. on Saturday, Lawrence McCall, 22, was discovered stabbed in a residential street in the town of Beith, North Ayrshire.

He was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock by emergency services, but later that night, he was declared dead.

Detectives are treating the death as murder after yesterday’s post-mortem examination, and they have set up an Incident Room at Saltcoats Police Office. They are requesting details.

Last night, the police announced that Mr. McCall’s family had been notified of his passing.
