Road closed as rescue team struggle to save two after ghastly crash in Bilsthorpe

Two people have been injured in a two-car collision that has closed both directions of the road.

On the A614 Old Rufford Road, the collision happened between the B6034 road and Deerdale Lane.

It is situated just north of Eakring Road, northwest of Bilsthorpe and south of Rufford.

According to a Nottinghamshire Police spokesman, officers attended to the incident and provided assistance.
They said that although there were two injuries, none of them were thought to be life-threatening.

Drivers are urged to stay away from the area if at all possible, but traffic redirection is apparently handling the incident well.

Along with the road being blocked, some damage to the road furniture had also occurred.
