Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town injury news as nine ruled out and one doubt.

Latest injury and team news ahead of the EFL Championship clash between Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town.

Birmingham City are on the search for a first win in over a month as they host Huddersfield Town at St Andrew’s in the EFL Championship.

Blues suffered a 2-0 defeat to Norwich City away at Carrow Road on Saturday, and that made for a winless September. Several injury concerns emerged last month, and a few players will be out for the foreseeable future.

Huddersfield Town meanwhile continued their unbeaten start under new manager Darren Moore, who followed up last Monday’s late draw with Coventry City by drawing with Ipswich Town.

In light of the foregoing, the following injury and team news is provided ahead of Birmingham City’s EFL Championship matchup against Huddersfield Town:

team news for Birmingham City

Lee Buchanan, a left back, was added to the disabled list last week after suffering an injury on the practice field. He rolled his ankle during practice and is anticipated to miss the rest of the season. Players travel for international football after a double-week of games, but Buchanan will be resting.

Keshi Anderson is on the treatment table too after picking up an injury against QPR. A hamstring injury is to rule him out for between six to eight weeks, and on Saturday we saw a midfield attacking three of Jay Stansfield, Koji Miyoshi and Oliver Burke.

Siriki Dembele might be considered, but he has recently returned from a hamstring ailment. Without a doubt, the 27-year-old is a player whose playing time may be restricted as he continues his cautious comeback.

Tyler Roberts, George Hall, and Ethan Laird are all still out due to injuries. In August, Laird and Hall both sustained hamstring injuries, one against Bristol City and the other against Cardiff City.

Tyler Roberts missed all of August and all of September due to a calf injury, with the exception of two games. With the tragic exception of Roberts, none of the three players are near to making a comeback.

Academy graduate Alfie Chang is a long-term absentee after a training ground injury in August. The 21-year-old suffered a ‘significant knee injury’ and required surgery, and will be out for the coming months.

Out: Alfie Chang, Ethan Laird, George Hall, Keshi Anderson, Lee Buchanan and Tyler Roberts.
