Blackburn wait for dominoes to fall-transfer window…..

In order to bolster Jon Dahl Tomasson’s team during the January transfer window, Blackburn Rovers is still in negotiations on a number of moves.

Ben Chrisene and Yasin Ayari have signed loan agreements thus far, while James Hill was called back by Bournemouth and Lewis Travis was assigned to Ipswich Town.

Things have quieted down a bit in the last two weeks following a hectic start to the year, but The Lancashire Telegraph is aware that the club is still trying to bring in new players.

For Rovers to sign their desired targets, some dominoes must fall, as is customary during the January transfer window. Even if money is still a major factor, the club can proceed with possible transactions.

To date, Jon Dahl Tomasson has not received the building experience he desires. This month, the head coach hopes to add one or two centre backs to his roster.

Attacking players are also in demand; depending on possible outgoings, a wide player and a number nine on the list are among them. The club is interested in two players: Charlie Cresswell and Connor O’Riordan.

Sam Gallagher has been rejected by Rovers after various proposals made by Ipswich Town. With six months remaining on his contract, the Tractor Boys have fallen short of the club’s value of the striker. He is Rovers’ highest paid player, although they have the option to extend that contract by one more year.

Ipswich must take Financial Fair Play into account, but how whether they’ll seek elsewhere or whether they can meet Rovers’ demands. In what would be a seven-figure deal, they are in negotiations with Sheffield Wednesday regarding left-wing-back Marvin Johnson.
