Birmingham City enters this match fresh off of two difficult losses. The Blues have now dropped their past two Championship games without scoring, losing 2-0 to relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday the previous week.

Tony Mowbray’s team is now three points from safety in the Championship table, sitting at 19th position.

Even though Blackburn Rovers are four points and two spots higher in 17th place, they are in a similarly challenging situation. This is their first match under new manager John Eustace, following their victory over the weekend under the interim direction of Damien Johnson and David Lowe.

Eustace returns to the dugout at St. Andrew’s after being controversially fired by the hosts earlier in the season.
