Dylan Markandai handed January dilemma as manager update offers lifeline

Rovers striker Dylan Markandai continued his good form in the team’s away win at Chesterfield in Sky Bet League Two.

The player, on loan from Paul Cook’s Spirits, scored his first goal for the Derbyshire side in a 2-0 win over Carlisle United. Markanday, who won the winner of Vertu Trophy over Wigan Athletic earlier this week, left some tasks before hitting Gabriel Breeze with a car rullle goal in Brdston Park.

The victory in which COOK \ is ranked sixth in the fourth layer, is the third consecutive year, and Markanday has seven goals in all club tournaments. Chesterfield host Wimbledon on Saturday in their final game before Christmas and Markandaj will be keen to continue his fine form in goal.

Elsewhere, James Edmondson scored a third goal in Macclesfield colours as the Silkmen secured a convincing 4-1 win over Stockton Town. Edmondson crushed Robbie Savage’s side just before the break to score a third goal.

The Cheshire club remain top of the Northern Premier League and Edmondson is due to return to Lancashire tomorrow night when the Macs travel to Bamber Bridge. I did well, everyone!
