Blackburn Rovers have been urged to delve back into the transfer market by former player David Dunn.
Blackburn Rovers were beaten 2-0 at home by Coventry City on Tuesday night. Rovers weren’t able to get anything from the game at Ewood Park.
John Eustace’s side are currently sat in 6th place in the Championship and are inside the play-offs along with Sunderland, Burnley and Middlesbrough. However, they are struggling with some injury issues.
Dunn has said, as per BBC Sport Lancashire on X: “Injuries are part of the game. Really interesting to see what the manager does now. Kyle McFadzean, we talked about him before, we’ve seen him possibly going somewhere, it might have already been done. If it hasn’t been done, you’ve got to be a little bit ruthless and I’d probably be saying ‘you’ve got to get yourself back to Brockhall and get part of this squad’.
“It will be an interesting couple of days. The luckiest thing is, can we get any deals done? Whether that is loans or permanents. We need bodies. We needed bodies before to help the team, we need bodies more than ever now.”
Blackburn Rovers urged to sign more players
Blackburn Rovers risk slipping out of the top six if they can’t find some more consistency.
They are only a point above West Brom and Watford. The likes of QPR, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday are also chasing them down.
Rovers have so far signed defender Dion Sanderson and midfielder Adam Forshaw this winter from Birmingham City and Plymouth Argyle.
They have the chance to bring in some more new faces before the deadline on 3rd February.
The Lancashire outfit also have the opportunity to let some individuals head out the exit door before then if they wish to.
Blackburn Rovers are back in action this weekend with an away trip to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City.
