Bolton Wanderers name Sheffield United star as their new Team manager.

WANDERERS have appointed former Sheffield United, Blackpool and Walsall defender Andy Taylor as their new B Team manager.

The 37-year-old, who has been coaching at AFC Fylde since the end of his playing career in 2020, is moving to Bolton.

Born in Blackburn Ian Evatt thinks that Taylor’s background, having made almost 400 appearances in his career and representing England in his youth, can now benefit the young players at his club.

He said, “Andy went above and beyond in the initial team recruitment process. He drew our attention and we had some in-depth, long talks.”

“Although we believe he has a bright future as a coach and that the B Team would be a good fit for him at this point in his development, we didn’t think he was ready for the first team role just yet.

He is an exciting young coach who had a successful playing career, so it’s great that he is leaving a first team role to come and be a part of that.

While sometimes that doesn’t translate, in Andy’s case, I’ve noticed that the coaching advice he offers is related to the high calibre of career he led, which was exceptionally impressive.

“I am thrilled to have him, and I am excited to watch him work with the boys.”

Evatt has discussed the idea of creating a

The Bolton manager states that developing his staff is now a top priority. Taylor will now collaborate with Andy Tutte, another young coach, to help players reach their maximum potential.

He remarked, “It is about a legacy for me personally.” “I want to come here and give this club the results it needs to get us back to where I think we belong, but I also want to make sure that there is a coaching blueprint and ideas flowing through the system when the time comes for me to leave, which it will. They are able to move things along.

Football involves a lot of succession planning, so I’m really interested to see how Andy works with the younger players to help them advance.
