Bolton Wanderers in the Community’s inaugural Charity Gala Dinner has raised £30,000 to support the charity’s non-profit work in the community.
Hosted on Friday 20th October in the 1877 Suite at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and attended by first team manager Ian Evatt, the event was an opportunity to hear from individuals from a variety of backgrounds whose lives have been positively impacted by the work of the Club’s official charity.
Club Chairman Sharon Brittan, Club Director Nick Luckock (who delivered a speech that evening), and CEO Neil Hart were also there. Additionally present were Debbie Hewitt, the chair of the FA, and Rick Parry, the chair of the EFL.
In addition to a delectable four-course meal and entertainment, attendees enjoyed a thought-provoking Q&A session with Sporting Director Chris Markham and Ian Evatt.
“Friday was an inspiring evening, where we were able to recognise and celebrate individuals’ success and achievement, along with raising awareness and vital funds for Bolton Wanderers in the Community,” said Phil Mason, CEO of Bolton Wanderers in the Community.
“To everyone who came and contributed, we are incredibly grateful and overwhelmed.
With the £30,000 raised, we will be able to support some of our community’s most vulnerable citizens and keep responding to local needs.
Bolton Wanderers in the Community would like to express its gratitude to Statuo, Boxoso, and Stress Free Print for their services and assistance on the night, as well as to Nationwide Capital Finance for supporting the event.
The Charity Dinner will return the following year; the exact date will be announced later in the autumn.
