Exclusive: Bolton wanderers agree deal to sign striker with 41 goals in last two seasons

  •  Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers, and Derby County are competing for promotion in League One and are now reportedly interested in signing striker Ronan Hale.
  •  Hale has been in sensational form in the NIFL Premiership in Northern Ireland, scoring 11 goals in just nine starts this season.
  •  The team that successfully signs Hale could benefit greatly from his goalscoring ability in their quest for promotion.
  • Now that the January transfer window is officially open, players are starting to attract interest from multiple clubs in the rumour mill.
  • With serious aspirations to return to the Championship as soon as possible, Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers, and Derby County are three teams currently engaged in what promises to be an exciting title and automatic promotion race for the balance of the League One season.
  • But because the three players are involved in more than just the promotion race, one rumour that has surfaced could have a significant impact on how John Mousinho, Ian Evatt, and Paul Warne play the rest of the season.

Ronan Hale is connected to a comeback to English football.
This is in the form of Ronan Hale, a 25-year-old striker from Northern Ireland who has been playing in the NIFL Premiership in spectacular fashion for a while.

Football Insider disclosed on Tuesday morning that Bolton, Derby and Portsmouth, in addition to Peterborough and Blackpool, two other third-tier promotion contenders, have all been connected to the forward.

According to the report, Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham are also enthusiastic about

  • Although Hale was born in Belfast, a possible promotion to the third or fourth division would mean going back to England. In 2016, the Birmingham City academy signed him, and he spent three years in the West Midlands, scoring 28 goals in 23 games for the Blues’ U23 team in his debut season before rising through the Wast Hills ranks.

The prolific nature of Hale in Northern Ireland
Hale quickly returned to his former team, Crusaders, after ending his contract with Birmingham in the first few weeks of 2019. He then moved to St Patrick’s Athletic of the League of Ireland, but he only scored four goals in total for both teams.

    But Hale’s form has significantly

  • After that, he moved to Cliftonville, a divisional rival, where he is now playing for the team led by Jim Magilton, a former manager of Ipswich and QPR.

In his first season with the team, Hale scored 30 goals in all competitions as the Reds finished fourth with 68 points. This season, he has scored an incredible 11 goals in just nine starts after missing the first nine games due to a ligament injury.

  • This included a hat-trick in the Irish Cup on January 5th against Coleraine. His team is currently eight points behind leaders Linfield in third place in the league.

Ronan Hale might be essential to aspirations of promotion
Even though no price has been mentioned as of yet, given the reputation of the teams connected to Hale’s signing, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Northern Irish team drives a hard bargain if a deal materialises.

Whoever is able to sign the 25-year-old will believe that his ability to score goals could be a deciding factor in the upcoming weeks and months, whether they succeed or fail.
