Neil Hart talks about what He expects in January Window:

Neil Hart doesn’t expect Bolton to be overactive in the January transfer market, as the club looks to maintain a promotion charge in the second-half of the season.

A little over four weeks until the window opens, allowing clubs across the continent to add to their playing squads, Wanderers sit atop the League One table and are still active in both the Emirates FA Cup and Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

The Trotters have conducted plenty of mid-season business in recent years, seeing the likes of Dion Charles, Victor Adeboyejo, Aaron Morley and a number of others arrive at the club, but Hart – CEO at the Toughsheet Community Stadium – believes things are a little different this time around.

“We had a board meeting in the last week – Ian, Chris Markham, myself and the board members,” Hart told BBC Radio Manchester.

“I think we’re happy with the squad. I think it’s more contingency planning.

“I think we’ve got really good depth to the squad this year and you can see that in terms of performances, when one player comes out and one comes in.

“If opportunities arise we’ll look at them, but there’s no hard and fast plan at the moment in terms of ‘we want him’.

“Ian is happy with the squad and we’re happy with how things are going.”

Hart, who was part of a board which accepted Bristol City’s £1million offer for George Thomason last summer, accepts rival clubs may be interested in the Whites’ players, but says individual decisions will be made as and when those situations arise.

“That might be a problem for us but we’ll deal with that as and if that comes in.”
